Naomi started at JD Steel in 2014 as the corporate receptionist and advanced quickly into the accounting department. In addition to accounts payable, Naomi assists in contract and ESOP administration. Naomi’s career has spanned over 10 years, primarily in reception and accounting, starting in the construction industry for 6 years before moving on to Maricopa County and the Glendale School District.

Marcela Benjamin
Accounting Office Manager
Marcela joined the JD Steel family in 2012 as the Payroll Manager. She quickly became an integral, valued member of the JD Steel Corporate team. She moved into her current position as the Accounting Office Manager in 2017. Among her many and diverse duties are the preparation of company payroll tax returns, reconciling company bank accounts and union reporting. She holds a Bachelors of Accounting Degree, and has over 20 years of experience within the field.

Gina LaPoint
Payroll Specialist

Gina began her career with JD Steel in 2017 as our Corporate Payroll Specialist. She covers all payroll services including certified payroll reporting for all regions nationally. She has over 16 years of experience and skills in Payroll, Human Resources, Accounting, Office Administration and Management.

Ellen Woods
Assistant Controller

Ellen has been an accounting professional for over 20 years. With her background in real estate combined with her Bachelors of Science in Accountancy and Finance from Arizona State University, Ellen has helped elevate the JD Steel Team to the quality of standards we now use. Before starting at JD Steel in 2011, Ellen worked for a real estate investment company for over 12 years.
