Scott Hamilton has led JD Steel Company’s Alaska Region for almost 20 years. His focus on client needs, balanced with his commitment to his team, has allowed the Alaska region to be successful year after year. Experiencing the short time line construction season that Alaska presents has helped Scott develop a business practice that puts the clients schedule and expectations at the utmost priority, regardless of where the project is. As a Vice President of JD Steel Company and the Alaska Regional Manager, Scott has combined his education in business management with his solid experience in construction management to help create a standard and vision that guides his team. He has challenged his team and himself with the pursuit of excellence, and has provided leadership, mentorship and support to assist in this goal.
Aaron Shroyer
Engineering Manager
Aaron Shroyer is a recognized and respected player in the Reinforcing Steel Industry with 20 years’ experience in Estimating and Detailing. All 20 of those years are with the JD Steel Company family. As the Engineering Manager for JD Steel Alaska, Aaron is constantly exceeding clients’ expectations when estimating and detailing projects. With his vast knowledge of the Reinforcing Steel Industry, Aaron efficiently coordinates and delivers quality submittals, timely and accurate estimates and proposals, and offers clients the complete Fabrication and Installation solution for the Alaska market. Aaron is also a key resource for clients in design-build projects, offering design services, value engineering, and budgetary input.
John Hamilton
Operations Manager
John Hamilton has been the heartbeat of JD Steel Company Alaska since the first day. As the most active and involved Operations Manager you will ever find in the industry, John has built the yard, the cranes, the shop, and the reputation of JD Steel Company Alaska. With nearly 20 years’ experience in the industry, John has mentored and developed the young Employee Owners of JD Steel Company Alaska into some of the safest and most quality minded fabricators in the Nation. He continues to manage every project and deadline as if it was his own, with a focus on exceeding clients’ expectations.
Garrett Wilkins
Structural Steel Shop Supervisor
Garrett Wilkins is the future of JD Steel Company Alaska. Having become a JD Steel Employee Owner over 13 years ago as a young man, Garrett has developed himself as the Structural Steel Shop Supervisor. Garrett’s greatest strength is his positive, ‘client first’ attitude and his commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Garrett Wilkin’s has poured himself into the growth of JD Steel Company Alaska and the young men and women who are the Employee Owners. He is a key member in the Leadership Team of JD Steel Company Alaska, and an active member of the ESOP Communication Committee. Garrett Wilkins invests himself into the finished products to meet and exceed the clients’ needs on a daily basis.
Reyes Alvarez
Contract Administrator
Reyes Alvarez has been an integral part of JD Steel Company Alaska for more than 10 years. Reyes is the backbone of JD Steel Company Alaska’s service model and treats clients to the most impeccable service they will find anywhere. With his vast experience and training, Reyes continues that client focus in Contract Administration, Sales, Forming Hardware Sales and Support, Tilt Up Consultation, and Freight Logistics. JD Steel Company clients have come to expect exceptional service and results from Reyes and his daily efforts. Reyes takes these skills and knowledge very seriously and invests himself into the Employee Owners of JD Steel Company Alaska as an active member of the Leadership Team.
